Indiana, Idaho, Alaska

We both got vaccinated at work, which was a huge relief and allowed us to finally travel.  We visited our family in Indiana. It had been since autumn of 2019 that we'd seen Roger. It was springtime there as well with lots of gorgeous blossoms and wonderful, warm weather.  It was so nice to see everyone!

We went out to the new riverside park and ice cream after. There are so many lovely places to walk by the river in downtown Fort Wayne. We had Coney Island hot dogs in the park and local beer. Can't believe how fast the kids are growing! We also celebrated Mike's birthday in his new backyard! It was great to catch up with cousin Nyssa (on my right) and see her new place.

This one was a surprise.  We always thought we had some colorful columbines growing on our property because we always see the leaves, but had never seen the blossoms.  This green bit is the blossom!

Dave has been surprising me with the most beautiful bouquets; every time. :)

On our fly day to work, we had outdoor street tacos at Calle 75 in Boise.

We found a new to us city park in Anchorage which has been a great diversion.

The warm weather and parade of colors continued on our trip to Indiana and back in Idaho. We finally got to visit Dave's family after getting fully vaccinated and catch up with uncles, aunts, cousins and neighborhood friends as well as enjoy some quality time with Roger, Mike, Jen and the kids.  What a beautiful spring!  Love you!!

The pink dogwood trees in Boise and Riggins were in full blossom and looked incredible!

Daffodil flower bulbs that Mom planted on our property in 2008 were coming up.

We went to our favorite nearby beach in Riggins on the river.  Always beautiful there!

We also drove to the end of the road along the Salmon River.

This boat launch is for jet boat trips up the Salmon River. Lots of blue butterflies here.

After such a long and cold winter, a rush of color and sunshine captured our hearts. Finally, some hope and promise of much more time spent outdoors. Besides relishing the new season, Dave and I also spent a lot of hours preparing many delicious meals including splatch-cocked chicken, homemade pizza and an incredible chili. We also worked on prepping our new porch for the upcoming summer season. Love you!
