It was delightful coming home from all the tropical flowers in Mexico to the start of spring in Idaho.
We kicked off spring by shopping at Edwards Greenhouse in Boise for our flowers for our townhome.
The trees were in blossom which is always a gift!
We took lots of evening walks along the lake. This is the newly redone Bown Park.

Dave did an amazing job getting drip irrigation up to our second floor patio two years ago.

Our friends Joni and Kory came from Bailey Colorado and stayed with us. They usually visit once a year around July 4th but came early to surprise Sean and Emily for the grand opening of their new Cafe 634.
Kory and I worked together for the South Pole Traverse and we've been friends with him and Joni for years. It was such a blessing that they stayed with us this time so that we could have more time together to chat.
Our first orchid which hadn't bloomed since we bought the townhome blossomed this year after getting some orchid food.

After seeing a horrible mix of weeds and decayed flower pots, Dave decided to fix the landscaping at our condo building. I have no before picture but please trust that it was awful. This was a several week endeavor because there were old roots from massive old shrubs that were there since 2007 and the weed matting had decomposed. Dave had to pull up not only garbage and weeds but rocks and the whole sprinkler system.

This was closer to 9:40pm and it got even redder by 9:44 when we got home.
Our first wildflower outing was to Bear Basin where Dave rides his mountain bike.
Just as magical as last years wildflowers.
These go on for almost a 1/4 mile.

I went to see my parents in Reno before flying back up to work.
We visited Galena Park, which is my absolute favorite because of the Ponderosa Pine trees.

Dave sent me this photo of snow falling on our new plants. They survived luckily.
Once back from work we spent the night in Boise at an Airbnb. This gorgeous tree was at the rental.
This gorgeous Scarlet Gillia was on the walking path between our condo and townhome.
Dave had accomplished a ton while I was at work. Including digging up the old sprinkler system and laying a new one with drip irrigation to each of the shrubs and sprinklers only on the lawn. He also bought mulch while we were in Boise and mulched in between the shrubbery.
Our very first hike for the season was to Coffee Cup lake off of Brundage Mountain Road.

It was a treat to take time off of work to be able to go to Mexico, spend some time at home and visit my parents before going up to work again. Spring is always such an incredibly welcome sight for us after the long snowy winters in the mountains. Love you and thank you for sharing in our experience.
