What a colorful, relaxing and lovely trip to Loreto, Mexico in May!
Went back to work in March for 3 weeks and two long ones in April so when May rolled around and Dave got his passport renewed, we flew south and saw this gorgeous view from the airplane window. The Sierra Giganta mountain range, Loreto & the Sea of Cortez.
We rented a beautiful Airbnb just steps from the ocean a nice walk from the center of town.
We somehow found the best fish tacos right away, by chance, on night one!

It was a sweet couple cooking and the seating area was their front porch.
Down by the sea a beautiful blue seascape and bougainvillea flowers on the promenade.
The historic district was in the center of town and had beautiful landscaping and artwork.
We saw a gorgeous art display in this building.

We walked to the far end of town and found this amazing restaurant by the sea. Such a great buffet that day and lovely way to spend a lazy Sunday morning.

We made it back to our favorite breakfast spot with the most amazing omelet!

A week in paradise was deeply appreciated after a long McCall Winter and three cold rotations back at work. This vacation was more relaxing than our usual because we stayed in one place for the whole week and didn't make a schedule. We just walked where we wanted when we wanted and enjoyed the scenery and food. This was our second time on the Baja California Sur; the first being to Cabo San Lucas and Los Barriles. Loreto was north of those locations and a direct flight from Los Angeles on Alaska Air so it was definitely an easy choice. We're looking forward to another Mexico trip and are talking about Guadalajara and Mexico City. Love you!
