A fairytale day of skiing. After Dave left in early February, I spent the rest of the month skiing. It was awesome, even though we had a lot of rain.

My last day of skiing before I left to go to Florida and Cuba to see Dave again. We met up in Denver, where we got to visit our friend Keros and flew together. Didn't want to forget this, the best dessert ever! It's coconut flakes and local honey, wrapped in a palm leaf and smoked in a fire. Has a smoky, molasses flavor and the coconut chewiness like a macaroon.

The Malecon, an 8km seaside drive, was very stormy on this day. Waves kept splashing over the wall and onto the road, soaking walkers.

Plaza Vieja. There were four historic plazas, open to pedestrians only, filled with music and cafes.
Fusterlandia! We went to visit the house of the artist Fuster, and I was hopeful we would get to meet him too. His home and neighborhood are all colorful, beautiful works of art in a little seaside fishing town adjacent to Havana called Jaimanitas.

A gorgeous walk in the Jungle Gardens. Dora, Zsuzsanna and I had visited back in Jan 2001 with Dora's University. It is just as fun and gorgeous the second time. We went after Dave returned to work, so I bombarded him with flamingo pictures.

Our last night dinner out photo by the bougainvillea bush in the driveway. Had a wonderful month filled with sunshine and color and joy. Always wonderful to spend time with Dave, wherever we are.
